 On behalf of the Eye Bank Symposium’s Scientific Committee of the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, we invite you to participate in the” Eye Banking and Cornea Transplantation Symposium- Imminent, Present and Future Need for Eye Bank”.

This unique symposium is devoted to promote a broad exchange of information on Eye Banking technologies, applications, quality assurance and standards in the area of Eye Banking in Ophthalmology.  In Addition to wet laboratory for preparing corneas for DEMK procedure, and live surgeries.

Presenters will include international speakers who will be covering topics on advances in Eye Banking and Cornea Transplantation and Stem Cells Culture, Expansion, and Transplant.

Audience to include attendees from Ophthalmology Department in Saudi Arabia and possible from Gulf countries – nurses, lab techs, general ophthalmologists, donor tissue liaisons, medical directors, and surgeons.

 

Goals and Topics Include

Surgeons / Ophthalmologists: Post-op Care and cornea preparation’s wet lab for DEMK and DEMK surgeries. Limbal stem Cells cultures and transplants.

• Intro to Eye Banking and How to receive tissues.

• Techs: Wet Lab Demo for Recovery and preservation.

Request for refund is accepted not later than 3oth September 2018 with a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. No refund issued for those who require visa assistance.
